Overview

Culinary traditions in Armenian comes from ancient times. Each region is famous for its diversity of dishes as Armenia itself. During this tour you will have a chance to tase a national cusine even to take art in preparation of some dishes upon request. Armenia is a great region for gastronomy.

Tour Plan

Day 1
Arrive at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport, and transfer  to the selected hotel. Check-in  and rest at the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast Tour Heritage Sites which are “must-visit” places. Visit the religious  center of Armenia – Echmiatsin which is the “Vatican” city of Armenia with the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church where the Supreme Patriarch (Catholicos) of All Armenians reside. After visiting the Ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral – the place of
“celestial angels”. Lunch at Machanents tun. Hear the atmosphere and the design is very
unique and lovely. Every single food here is amazing. After driving back to Yerevan and
visiting the cognac factory with degustation.

Day 3
After breakfast takes a fantastic tour dedicated to the exploration of Southern Armenia
combining the magic of Armenia’s finest medieval architecture with stunning landscapes
by driving through the agricultural heart of Armenia. Our first stop will be at the Khor
Virap Monastery – the most important place of pilgrimage in Armenia. Continue to
Noravank monastery nestles at the narrow gorge in the impressive mountainous
landscape. Visit the restaurant and winery in the village of Areni wine tasting made from the
endemic grapes and lunch there. Continue to Goris. Dinner in the local restaurant  O/N in
Goris
Day 4
After breakfast visit, Tatev monastery takes the longest cable car ever 5,5 km fly over the mountains and have lunch where you can feel the taste of the country. After visit Shaki waterfall back to Yerevan. O/N in Yerevan.
Day 5
After breakfast takes a tour of the Saghmosavank and  Ohanavank monasteries on the edge of the Kasakh river canyon, Lunch in a local restaurant with a fascinating view.The continue to Amberd fortress located on slopes of Mt. Arargants  2300 m. Back to Yerevan. O/N in Yerevan.
Day 6
After breakfast at the hotel. Tour to Garni temple, firstly we stop at Charent’s Arch the breathtaking lookout point of the biblical Mount Ararat (known from the Bible as the  landing place of Noah’s Ark). Drive to the Geghard Monastery carved out of a huge monolithic rock. Geghard monastery is partly carved out of a mountain. Lunch and master class of traditional Armenian bread “Lavash” being baked in tonir (ground oven).
The preparation, meaning, and appearance of traditional bread as an expression of culture
in Armenia has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Cultural Heritage of Humanity. O/N in Yerevan.
Day 7
