Echmiatsin The original church was built in the early fourth century between 301 and 303 according to tradition—by Armenia’s patron saint Gregory the Illuminator, following the adoption of Christianity as a state religion by King Tiridates III. It was built over a pagan temple, symbolizing the conversion from paganism to Christianity. As the center of Armenian Christianity, Etchmiadzin has been an important location in Armenia not only religiously, but also politically and culturally. A major pilgrimage site, it is one of the most visited places in the country.
St. Hripsime church Armenia always has something unique to suggest with each monastery or church. According to the legend Hripsime was martyred in a cruel way for preaching Christianity and refusing the love of our King Tiridates. The structure amazes everyone with its unique style and unbelievable architectural calculations from as early as the 7th century. Later this construction influenced many other Armenian churches and, and several masters started to widely use many of its architectural elements all over Armenia.
St. Gayane The Saint Gayane Church is a 7th-century Armenian church in Vagharshapat, the religious center of Armenia. It is located within walking distance from the Etchmiadzin Cathedral of 301.
Zvarnots
The ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral are located on a flat plain within the Ararat Plateau between the cities of Yerevan and Etchmiadzin in Armenia’s Armavir province near Zvartnots International Airport. Built in the middle of the 7th century CE, under the instructions of the Catholicos Nerses III

The Parz Lich ( Clear Lake ) is situated 9km South-East of the town of Dilijan at an altitude of 1350m. It is fed by mountainous springs. It is 300m long, 100m wide and reaches up to 10m in depth.
Starting your walk from the lake, you proceed (about 3 hours) along forest paths to Goshavank Monastery. The XII-XIII century monastery played a very special role in medieval Armenia’s religious, cultural, and educational life. Here stands one of the masterpieces of Armenian unique art, the famous “Aseghnagorts” khachkar – “Embroidered” cross tone, the work of sculptor Varpet (Master) Poghos. On the way back (by car) to Yerevan, you can visit the Monastery of Haghartsin
