Overview

Tour to Armenia and Georgia gives you a chance to explore the secrets of these two unique beautiful countries, so similar but so different at the same time. You will stroll around ancient Yerevan and bright Tbilisi, visit the part of the Silk Road, get acquainted with UNESCO sites and enjoy the view of the majestic Caucasus Mountains.

Tour Plan

Day 1:

Pick up from the airport and transfer to the selected hotel.

Day 2:

Yerevan city tour with the visit to the Matenadaran-the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and   Genocide Memorial, Parajanov Collages Museum, and other landmarks of the city: Cascade, Opera building. O/N  in Yerevan.

Day 3:

This day visit  Garni pagan temple, and Geghard cave monastery. After, drive to Echmiatsin to visit   Zvartnots temple, St. Hripsime church, and Mother Cathedral of Echmiatsin. O/N  in Yerevan.

Day 4:

Visit Saghmosavank and Ohanavank Monasteries, and drive to Amberd’s medieval fortress. O/N  in Yerevan.

Day 5:

Check out and leave for the south of the country. Visit Khor Virap and Noravank monastery. Complimentary wine tasting in Areni. Visit Tatev monastery. Drive to Goris or Sisian for an overnight Near Noravank monastery, it is possible to organize an Armenian BBQ lunch in the grotto.

Day 6:

Visit Drive to Lake Sevan via Selim pass. Here stop at the caravansary on the Great Silk Rout. Continue to see the Sevan monastery on the peninsula. After, driving to Dilijan for an overnight at a guesthouse. Before check-in visit Haghartsin and Goshavank Monasteries.

Day 7:

Visit Sanahin and Haghpat Monasteries and drive to Tbilisi. Overnight will be in Tbilisi.

Day 8:

Tbilisi tour includes – Metechi church, Abanotubani, Narikala fortress, Sharden street, Sioni Cathedral, Shota Rustaveli avenue, and an open-air museum of Ethnography. Overnight will be in Tbilisi.

Day 9:

Drive to Kakheti region. Here visit Sighnaghi. After, visit Bodbe Monastery – a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex and the seat of the Bishops of Bodbe. Overnight will be in Tbilisi.

Day 10:

Tour along the historical Georgian Military Road. Drive to Mtskheta – Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery. Drive to Ananuri a castle and seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi. . Further, travel to the Georgian Military Highway – the town of  Stepansminda situated at the foot of Mount Kazbek – the most famous and picturesque mountain of Georgia. Above the town like a fairy castle, rises Gergeti Trinity Church. The church is situated on the top of one of the mount.  Overnight will be in Tbilisi.

Day 11:

Departure.
